- Knowledge: With officers from all over the southeast we can tap the knowledge base and keep each other up to speed in our region especially. This is done by providing quarterly training and seminars to its members, legal updates, a quarterly magazine, updates on the latest incidents and equipment available to both teams and departments as well as the latest equipment that is still in the developmental stage.
- Networking/Camaraderie: knowing people from around the community makes it smaller and allows for a quicker response to regional crisis as well as the basic dissemination of important information.
- Negotiating Power: The association can get better deals on gear and equipment if it works together as one.
